Though as a child I hated everything that was knitted, today I cherish knitwear, which is one of the things that give me comfort when temperatures outside continue to drop. Last year I simply skipped this period because I had a chance to spend the months of awful weather in the southern hemisphere, which also means that I got rid of all my winter clothes. This year, however, I am spending winter at home, so I had to embark on a mission to refresh my wardrobe.
The first item I got hold of was this knitted, soft, and very warm cardigan, in one of my favourite colours: light grey. In this weather it can still be worn on its own, later I will sport it with a leather jacket, but I will not feel the chill in this beauty, that’s for sure. And it looks great. For an oversize, loose-fitting top, we should always wear tight trousers to achieve a balance in looks and avoid looking the size of the Yeti. I personally tend to slip on high heels, too, to seem a bit higher, being on the short side myself. For these warm cardigans I like choosing a more casual, lighter top, like this spaghetti top, which also helps balancing the overall picture, and you don’t have to feel like the Michelin Man.
Red accessories, the bracelets and the shades are just enough to add a bit of seasoning colour to the outfit.
Actually, I adore grey, especially this light hue. It has the awesome tendency to look good with almost everything, and gives an edge of elegance even to a comfy outfit.
